The planting area of the cotton growing area in the the Yellow River River Basin was 32 million 191 thousand mu, a decrease of 1.06% compared to the same period last year, and the planting area of the Yangtze River valley was 20 million 700 thousand and 400 mu, an increase of 1.47% over the same period last year.

According to the analysis of the participants, in 2010, despite the adverse factors such as low temperature and late spring chill, but because of the rising cotton prices this year and the favorable climate after May, and the favorable policies of the National Cotton Subsidy Policy and the national cotton production activities, if cotton does not suffer from major climatic disasters in the later stage of growth, cotton is expected to have a bumper harvest this year.
