Industry: Burma Garment Industry Gets More Japanese Market

Insiders say that the garment industry in Burma has gained more Japanese market share due to labor shortage in the Japanese garment industry in the offshore area.
If domestic garment enterprises invest in Japan, there should be better development.
According to Japanese customs statistics, Burma's apparel exports to Japan increased by 12% from 133 million US dollars in 2008 to 146 million US dollars in 2009.
Last year, the total export volume of garments exported to Burma was 38%.
