Nextec founder Luca and Matteo Morlacchi will be the chief executive and general manager of OutDry respectively. They will report to Mick Mick, vice president of global sales, Columbia company.

Tim Boyle, President and CEO of the company, said: "the acquisition of OutDry is an important measure for us to innovate in science and technology and enhance product functionality. We will apply OutDry technology to our outdoor brand products, including Columbia, Mountain Hardwear, Sorel and Montrail.
At the same time, we will also choose to cooperate with some high-end outdoor brands to apply OutDry fabrics.
About OutDry fabric
The waterproof and breathable membrane of OutDry is placed in the outermost layer of shoes or gloves. It prevents water or dust from entering the interior, improves the waterproof and ventilate functions, and keeps insulation, improves adaptability and flexibility, and is more comfortable to wear.
