It is a big province of footwear production and export. Last year, the value of exported footwear reached US $5 billion 444 million, ranking second in mainland China.
And Putian is Fujian's footwear export market, Putian shoes across the sea, around the world, and with annual growth rate of more than 15%.
In the first seven months of this year, the 41 thousand batch of footwear products exported to Putian was valued at $1 billion 85 million, and the added value of products increased significantly.
However, there are still deficiencies in the pformation and upgrading of the industrial structure, the improvement of product quality, as well as the business management, scale efficiency, brand effect, the perfection of industrial chain and the competitive advantage of the group in Putian footwear industry.
The industry insiders said that it is imperative for Putian to build an export footwear quality and safety demonstration area, improve the overall quality of footwear industry and enhance the quality and grade of footwear products.
On the same day, the Fujian entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau and Putian also signed the "agreement on the establishment of Putian export footwear quality and safety demonstration zone to promote the development of footwear industry in Putian".
The two sides indicated that they will deepen the construction of quality and safety system, build a quality safety industry chain, enhance the ability of enterprises to cope with foreign technical barriers, enhance the quality and safety level of export footwear, ensure that no major quality safety incidents are encountered, encourage and guide enterprises to speed up structural adjustment, brand building, technological innovation and equipment pformation, and promote the pformation and upgrading of export footwear industry.
