Women in the Chinese cities now advocate spending more and less. A survey from Chinese women's magazine last year showed that 63% of the women earn about 24% of their income.

3 years ago, a survey from China Daily showed that in 2006, Chinese urban women only used 30% of their income to buy things, while 55% were in banks.

According to the latest data, 1074 women in 10 cities, such as Beijing and Shanghai, account for most of their spending in the past 4 years.

The results of the survey showed that the average spending power of women last year was 21900 yuan.

"This is the fact that women's spending power is improving in cities," said Han Xiangjing, editor in chief of the Chinese women's magazine. "With the improvement of Chinese women's status in the family, it is correspondingly indicated that they will spend more money on improving their quality of life."
