Ren Feng of the import and export department said that from the current situation, China's textile and garment exports still face greater internal and external pressures, and the total export volume of textiles and clothing is estimated to be over 180 billion dollars a year.

The main reasons lie in the following four aspects: the increase of raw materials and freight prices, the recruitment difficulties and rising wages of textile industry, the appreciation of RMB and the increasingly serious trade protectionism.
"At present, the average profit rate of domestic textile industry is 3% to 5%, and the enterprise's ability to raise prices is relatively low.
In addition, the recent United States House of Representatives members jointly proposed the 2010 Security Act. If this bill is passed, it will directly affect our textile and clothing export environment.

With the influence of protectionism, some big clients have adjusted their layout, dispersed in China, and even pferred some of their orders to Southeast Asia.
Li Feng believes that, combined with these factors, it is expected that China's clothing will continue to grow steadily in the second half of the year, but the annual export growth may be high before and after low.
