Manufacturers are feeling uneasy because smuggled textiles continue to enter the country.
They said that if the situation persists again, it will overturn the proposed 100 billion Nigeria's textile intervention fund, and the government of the Republic of China is ready to make textiles.

Nigeria Textile Manufacturers Association (NTMA) is an umbrella organization of Nigeria textile manufacturers. The Association revealed that counterfeit Chinese made textiles smuggled into Nigeria, which brought Nigeria nightmare.
The federal government of Nigeria introduced the textile intervention fund to restore this shabby industry. In the past three years, the textile industry has laid off 100 thousand workers and closed about 100 units.
The Nigeria Textile Manufacturers Association praised the government's efforts to save the textile sector, improve the power industry and introduce the intervention fund. In particular, the textile industry needed urgent intervention from the government against smuggling.
Many smuggled Chinese made cheap counterfeit textiles to Nigeria with the brand of Nigeria, the Nigeria Textile Manufacturers Association said.
The federal government of Nigeria has formed a committee to help customs and other security agencies to find ways to check such counterfeit textiles into Nigeria. The textile industry says this is the most troublesome thing.
