Not long ago, BYD signed a cooperation plan for renewable energy storage power grid with the Losangeles Hydropower Bureau, and signed a cooperation framework agreement with China Southern Grid Corp.

BYD's energy storage power station, relying on BYD's iron battery technology, plays a role in the entire power grid as "peak shaving and valley filling". It can store the surplus electricity in the low power period and use it again when the peak is used, so as to reduce the waste of electric energy.

It is reported that BYD's development of iron battery technology, the battery's energy density increased to more than 4 times the sealed lead-acid batteries, while the cycle life of up to 7000 times, charging and discharging once a day, can meet the use of nearly 20 years.
