The EU draft pointed out that the EU has encountered many obstacles to enter the Chinese market, including inadequate protection of intellectual property rights, lack of pparency in the standardization system, complicated procedures for certification, and priority for local manufacturers to obtain raw materials.

The European Union warned that it would appeal to WTO to eliminate these obstacles.
