In order to protect the physical and mental health of women and children and the safety of supplies, and promote the healthy development of women and children's products industry, the provincial quality and Technical Supervision Bureau has recently commissioned the provincial product quality supervision and inspection center, the provincial light industry product quality inspection station and the provincial (city) concerned.

This inspection examined 140 batches of children's clothing sold by 117 circulation enterprises in 6 cities, such as Lanzhou, Baiyin, Tianshui, Zhangye, Jiuquan and Qingyang. 99 batches of 110 batches of products were qualified, and the qualified rate of sample inspection was 78.6%.
In accordance with the requirements of the implementation rules for children's clothing provincial special supervision and spot checks in the second quarter of 2010, this project mainly tested 8 items, including fiber content, formaldehyde content, pH value, color fastness to water, color fastness to rubbing, color fastness to saliva, acid fastness, sweaty color fastness and product identification.
This is the first time that our bureau has organized the provincial and municipal inspection stations to check the children's garments in uniform inspection rules, uniform inspection time and uniform basis in the whole province.

The color fastness of safety has a high pass rate of single index, and the problem of formaldehyde content exceeding standard has been greatly improved. Except for 5 batches, the rest are all qualified; some well-known brand products are of better quality, such as: Ann, BEIR, etc.
First, some children's clothing pH value is not qualified.
The mandatory national standard GB18401-2003 "national textile product basic safety technical specification" stipulates that the pH value of infant clothing should be within 4 ~ 7.5, which belongs to weak acidity. The pH value of 13 batches of products in the spot checks exceeds the requirements stipulated in the national standard, and the products are alkaline.
PH exceeding the standard will destroy the weak acidic environment of human skin surface, cause itching, and make the skin vulnerable to other pathogens and even cause dermatitis. Two, the fiber content of some products is not qualified.
It is mainly the product label and the actual detection component does not match, if some products Express cotton 100%, the actual detection is polyester 100%, 13 samples of children's clothing fiber content is not qualified; three is the individual children's clothing formaldehyde content exceeds the standard.
Formaldehyde refers to the quantity of formaldehyde released from the fabric, also known as free formaldehyde.
The national standard requires formaldehyde content (mg/kg) to be less than 20%, and the formaldehyde content of individual products is 41.6%, more than twice the standard value.
Formaldehyde is a harmful chemical. Excessive formaldehyde in clothing may stimulate people's eyes, induce respiratory and skin diseases. There are 5 batches of formaldehyde in children's clothing in spot checks. Four, the color fastness to water, alkali fastness to perspiration, acid fastness and color fastness of individual products are not qualified.
Color fastness refers to the degree of fading and staining of clothing.
Products (infant clothing) must be greater than or equal to grade 3~4 or level 4. B products (direct contact with skin clothing) must be greater than or equal to 3 grade. In the 2 batch of products, the color fastness of the products is not up to the requirements of the national standard. The clothes with poor color fastness are easy to fall off and fade when exposed to water, sweat or saliva. Five, some products are not standardized and are also the most prominent problems in children's clothing in recent years.
