In the first 8 months of this year, the total number of international tourist trips reached 642 million, an increase of 7% over the same period last year, an increase of 1 million times over the same period in 2008.
The number of international tourists is expected to increase by 5%-6% this year.
According to the latest world tourism prosperity report released by the world tourism organization, the number of tourist arrivals in all regions of the world increased from January to August this year. The highest growth rate was in the Middle East, reaching 16%, followed by the Asia Pacific region, an increase of 14%, an increase of 10 million times over the same period in 2008; the growth of Africa by the world cup in South Africa, the growth of 9%, the increase of 8% in the Americas, and the increase in 3% in the Caribbean and Europe.
