According to Guan Xiuhua, Secretary General of Fujian Textile Industry Association, there are many types of textile industry cluster in Fujian, some of which belong to industrial market driven, industrial clusters with coordinated development of upstream and downstream industries, such as Jinjiang and Shishi; some rely on the textile raw materials industry, such as the development of chemical fiber, yarn, warp knitted fabrics and other industrial clusters, such as Changle; and relying on industrial textiles.

But the most representative one is the Quanzhou Jinjiang textile industrial cluster and Shishi clothing industrial cluster.

Quanzhou garment development originated from the Shishi clothing distribution market. Due to the continuous extension of the garment professional market and the garment processing industry chain, a relatively complete industrial chain with garment products as the leader, chemical fiber, cotton textile, knitting, printing and dyeing, garment accessories, nonwovens and textile machinery has been gradually formed in the Shishi, Jinjiang surrounding towns and Quanzhou areas.

After years of development, the overall competitiveness of Quanzhou's textile and clothing has improved significantly. It has become one of the largest textile and garment processing and trade bases in the country. The brand driving effect of the industrial cluster has been highlighted. A large number of "Jiumu Wang" trousers, "seven wolves" jackets, "seven card" men's clothing and xunxing SBS zippers have enjoyed a high reputation both inside and outside the province.
