Exports in 7-11 increased by 35.8% compared to the same period last year, reaching 8 billion 270 million US dollars.

In 7-11, Bangladesh's export revenue from knitted textiles rose 37% to $3 billion 500 million compared with the same period last year, while the export revenue of woven garments increased by 36% to 2 billion 880 million US dollars over the same period last year.

Clothing accounts for 80% of Bangladesh's export earnings.

Bangladesh has almost doubled the minimum monthly wage of millions of garment industry workers, reaching 3000 Taka (43 US dollars), which came into force in November. However, compared with competitors such as China, India, Vietnam and Thailand, the wage of garment and garment workers in Bangladesh is still low.
