The press release published on the website of the China Cotton Association said that the cotton planting area in the Yangtze River Basin continued to increase in 2011, and the estimated growth rate was 11.7%. The enthusiasm of cotton farmers in the the Yellow River river basin is not high, and the expected increase is 4.9%.
The price of cotton has been on the market since the listing, the report said.
Rise
The increase is higher than that of other agricultural products. Most cotton farmers reflect the good price of cotton. Although the yield per unit area is not affected by weather conditions, the yield is good, and the enthusiasm for planting cotton is higher in the coming year.
According to the press release, the price of agricultural materials and labor prices needed for cotton rose, and the cost of labor and time was much higher. Compared with other agricultural products, price and cost were the main reasons for the small increase in cotton area.
