Before that, there were only two ways out of these old clothes: seven or eight of the new second-hand clothes were donated to the disaster areas or poor areas through civil affairs or official charitable channels; the rest were disposed of by the residents themselves, and a small number of them were piled up at home to make people bored. Most of them were dumped as garbage.

Professionalization of old clothes

Each ton of old clothes can be converted into one ton of colored cotton yarn or directly generated nearly one ton of non-woven fabrics after being recycled.

According to the existing production technology level, spinning a ton of cotton yarn needs 2248 degrees of electricity consumption.

This is far from the consumption of energy, grain, chemical raw materials and a large quantity of sewage consumed by dozens of production processes such as degreasing, dyeing, sizing, rinsing, drying and so on in cotton yarn production.

If we take the upstream industry chain into account, cotton is the biggest consumer of pesticides and irrigation water in the process of planting large agricultural products.

The recycling of old clothes by specialized companies is a good thing for the state to save energy, reduce carbon, reduce sulfur, reduce discharge of sewage and save water resources; increase jobs for the society; cultivate new revenue growth points for the government; for the public, it is the most direct participation of green, green and green, and is also a zero cost participation.
