The coming next five years will be our country.

The annual meeting of the 2010 National Technical Committee on clothing standardization was held in Beijing by Lining (China) Sporting Goods Co., Ltd.

Liu Shuangqiu, director of the National Standardization Committee, Feng Dehu, vice chairman of the China clothing association, Jiang Hengjie, chief executive officer of the national garment Standardization Technical Committee, Guo Jianxin, chief operating officer of Lining (China) Sporting Goods Co., and Dong Jun, general manager of the supply chain management system, and more than 100 representatives from the national garment enterprises attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the national garment Standardization Technical Committee compiled the "12th Five-Year" plan on the basis of summing up the work of "11th Five-Year" dress standardization, and put forward the next five years development goals and key tasks of China's clothing standardization.

It is understood that during the "11th Five-Year" period, the National Garment Standards Committee has completed 43 national standards and 20 industry standard revision projects, which has enriched the garment industry standard system, and the number and quality level of the standards have been improved synchronously.

Among them, two national standard samples "silk clothing sewing wrinkle five grade sample" and "silk garment appearance defects", provide scientific basis for the quality inspection and evaluation of silk garments.

During the "11th Five-Year" period, the national garment Standardization Technical Committee set up two sub assemblies of down garments and shirts, a jacket working group, and the enterprises undertake the standardization work of the sub committees and working groups, and absorbed more experts from industry and enterprises to become members, providing talents and technical support for Standardization work.

In 2008, the national clothing Standard Committee actively participated in the activities of the international organization for standardization, and assumed the domestic technology centralized management of the international standardization organization's Clothing Technology Committee (ISO/TC133). It was submitted by the Secretariat affiliated to the Shanghai clothing research institute to apply for the work of ISO/TC133 secretarial office.

In 2009, according to the requirements of the national standards committee, the apparel Standards Committee submitted an application to undertake the English version of the Secretariat and an international standard revision proposal.

In July 2010, with the joint efforts of the National Standardization Management Committee and China's garment industry, South Africa agreed to work with China on the ISO/TC133 Secretariat at the ISO/TC133 garment size system and design international standard working conference held in China.

In addition, the National Garment Standards Commission submitted the proposal to the international standardization organization ISO/TC133 in 2008 to amend the international standard "clothing structure and human body measurement - human size", and was approved in July 2010 at the "ISO/TC133 clothing size system and design international standard work conference". It agreed to be chaired by China to amend the international standard ISO8559-1989. South Africa, Korea and Japan were working group members.

This resolution marks that China's clothing standardization has really entered the field of international standardization.

The national garment standardization "12th Five-Year" development plan (Draft) has also formulated the key tasks and key items of the standardization work during the "12th Five-Year" period.

First of all, we will focus on the establishment and improvement of consumer product safety standards, functional clothing standards, and professional clothing standards. In particular, we should establish safety standards for children's clothing and promote the further improvement of China's clothing industry standard system.

Secondly, it will set up a technical committee for the standardization of clothing basis and strengthen the research on basic standards of clothing.

Third, strengthen the important measures to break through the trade barriers to technology - apply for the work of ISO/TC133 Secretariat, and actively strive for international standard proposals.

Fourthly, we will attach importance to standard scientific research.

The key items during the "12th Five-Year" period will also focus on the key tasks, such as "the development of clothing product ecology and safety standards". The aim is to strengthen the development of standards for the limits and testing methods of toxic and harmful substances in clothing products, and further improve the standard system of clothing ecological safety in China. "The development of children's clothing safety standards" aims at enacting the mandatory standards for safety of children's accessories, ropes and belts, and further improving the standard system for children's clothing safety.
