India'S Domestic Market Increased By 7% To 15 Million Bags Of Cotton.
This year (beginning in October 1, 2010), Quantity of cotton arrived in India domestic market An increase of 7% to achieve 15 million packs 。
India Cotton Corp (CCI) said on its website that the number of cotton arrived in the domestic market increased by 7% to 15 million bales and 170 kilograms per pack this year, compared with 14 million packages in the same period last year.
Cotton production is estimated at 33 million 500 thousand packages in 2010-11 years, and domestic consumption is 26 million 600 thousand packs.
In 2009-10, India produced 30 million 750 thousand bales of cotton.
