In the same year, China's textile industry reached a record high in terms of total industrial output value, industrial sales value, gross profit, labor productivity per capita, and the completion of exports. The profitability of the industry has improved to the best level before the financial crisis.

Du Yuzhou, President of the China Textile Industry Association, said that although China's textile industry was affected by the international financial crisis and the shrinking international demand, the total export volume of textile and clothing in the whole industry increased by 82.3% during the period of 11th Five-Year, and the trade surplus increased by 91.8%.

In particular, during the "11th Five-Year" period, the contribution rate of value growth in export trade increased from 12.47% during the "fifteen" period to 55.51%.

Industry experts believe that the current textile market in Europe and the United States have signs of warming, but the recovery is slow.

In the absence of obvious expansion of international market demand, China's textile exports can achieve such a performance. This shows that China's textile industry has been in a series of rounds of impact in terms of quality, technology content and rapid response, and has made progress every year.

But at the same time, we should also see that this year's slowdown in global economic growth and slower growth in consumer demand will inhibit the growth of China's textile and clothing exports. The pressure of RMB appreciation will also weaken the competitive advantage of China's textiles and clothing in the international market, and may even lead to the loss of some orders.

In addition, China's textile industry is also facing the pressure of labor, raw materials and other factor costs rising.

Under the influence of these factors, the growth rate of China's textile and clothing exports will slow down in 2011.
