Autumn and winter of 2011 in Copenhagen

Affected by the financial crisis, clothing consumer demand has changed. In this fashion week, designers are more careful in material, decoration and matching, trying to achieve the unity of fashion and practicality, showing the charm of Scandinavian fashion art.

Ibn Albinus Sable, editor in chief of the Danish daily, said: "in the post financial crisis era, Nordic clothing design has made innovations in the use of fabric and color while promoting the simplicity of pragmatism in the past."

Among the different styles of fashion show, Nordic designers are particularly impressed with the design of fur clothing.

Although fur design is controversial, Eva Cruiser, director of fashion week, said fur plays an important role in Danish Fashion Design and will not quit the fashion market.

This fashion week also shows that the common colors of northern Europe, such as crimson, dark green and orange, may become the main colors of this autumn and winter fashion.

The fashion week of Copenhagen began in 1964, and held two times a year. It was held in February and August respectively. It is now the largest fashion event in Nordic region.
