The survey was conducted by Visa international in the third quarter of 2010. The survey was conducted on 3156 consumers from mainland China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand. The survey was conducted in the 2010 quarter.
The survey found that 32% of respondents had been overseas websites in the past 12 months.

Among them, the hottest pnational online shopping items are clothing and shoes (25%), cosmetics and fragrances (18%), air tickets (18%) and books (14%).
According to the survey, 17% of respondents in Taiwan conducted cross-border online shopping in the past 12 months, buying clothing and shoes (38%), online auctions (30%), and tourist accommodation (22%).
Taiwan respondents who bought overseas websites said that the main reason for consuming overseas websites was that local websites or shops did not provide the goods needed (61%), overseas websites had more commodity choices (29%), and overseas websites purchased relatively cheaply (24%).
The survey found cross-border online shopping in 6 Asian Pacific markets.

In the past December, 90% of respondents who bought overseas websites showed that they had at least one experience in shopping in the US website.
