Vietnam Hopes To Compete With China On Textile Exports To Japan.
According to Vietnam investment report April 27th, though

In terms of exports, China has an overwhelming advantage (90%), and Vietnam accounts for only a small share.
But Vietnam is regarded as the most powerful competitor of the "China +1" strategy.
Japanese entrepreneurs believe that Vietnam will be full of hope in reducing its over reliance on China.

In April 26th, the Export Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of industry and trade organized a pair in Hanoi.

At the textile export consultation conference, senior experts from Japan's Trade Promotion Organization (JICA) said: at present, Japan imports $3 billion 700 million annually in textile and clothing, only 5% in Japan, and 3 billion 300 million dollars from China, accounting for 90% of the total textile and clothing imports in the country.
But in the past 8 years, the wages of Chinese workers doubled, from 445 yuan in 2000 to 960 yuan in 2008.
Some textile and garment enterprises are preparing to move their factories out of China. Vietnam may be the choice of Japanese enterprises.
