Since March last year, the municipal government has carried out the "implementation of self inspection and self disciplined action year" of the main responsibility of environmental protection for key pollution discharge units within the city. The 4455 key sewage disposal units in tanning (including artificial leather) printing and dyeing, paper making and other 13 heavy polluting industries were selected as the working objects. After the assessment by the county level and municipal level circular committees, 455 black grade enterprises were screened, and letters and improvements were made.

Up to the end of February this year, 262 enterprises were unable to upgrade their work grades, and they were required to suspend production for rectification or shut down according to regulations.

At the same time, our city also has a large volume of pollutants or potential environmental impact on chemical industry, printing and dyeing, leather making and paper making.

City Environmental Protection Department official said, in the future will punish illegal environmental protection enterprises, the next stage will also unite other departments to strengthen follow-up supervision, prevent pollution production resurgence.
