"Show more Chinese elements" -- Interview with fashion designer Wu Xuekai

In August 2008, the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games awards ceremony costumes and the main prize presentation elements were held at 798D-PARK fashion design center, Beijing.

Among the 16 ceremonial costumes to be announced, the only men's dress -- the Olympic award winning flag raising hand, was the most popular costume.

Wu Xuekai, the chief designer of Fujian Qipai, is responsible for designing this flag raising costume. He Embroidered Blue and white porcelain patterns skillfully on the Chinese collar, highlighting Chinese traditional culture without losing his masculinity.

The Olympic Organizing Committee specially awarded the "seven card group" Beijing 2008 Olympic Games awards ceremony costumes design organizational contribution award, Wu Xuekai won the first prize of Olympic awards ceremony costumes design.

Wu Xuekai said that in order to integrate into the concept of "Humanistic Olympics", the organizing committee, the appraisal committee and the participating designers paid a lot of painstaking efforts. "Showing more elements of China is my greatest desire."

He believes that the form of Chinese collar collar combines the artistic elements of blue and white porcelain, and combines fashion with culture, making the design works stand out in the fierce competition.
