The amount reached 433 million baht, an increase of 81.2% over the same period last year, a year-on-year increase in the past eleventh months, of which the export volume of cotton yarn to Japan reached 98 million 400 thousand baht, the highest level in the same period of history, and more than the export of cotton yarn to China.
As of April, the total import volume of Thailand's cotton yarn reached 2 billion 100 million baht this year, up 71.7% over the same period last year, setting a record high in the same period.
Although the cotton price has dropped sharply in recent months and the growth rate of cotton yarn imports may slow down in the next few months, the export volume of cotton yarn is expected to reach 6 billion 400 million baht this year, or record the highest historical record.
