The commerce and industry department made random checks on children's clothing sold in the circulation market of Chengdu, Jinniu District, Jinjiang District, Longquanyi, Shuangliu County and other markets, mainly for children's clothing.

Identification

The fiber composition, formaldehyde content, pH value, color fastness, odor, sewing strength and button sewing strength were tested.

The results showed that the formaldehyde content and odor index of children's clothing were all qualified. The main problems of some unqualified children's clothing were color fastness, fiber content, pH value and other indicators which did not meet the national standards.

Business circles

The Department has ordered relevant units to dispose of substandard products and require enterprises to carry out rectification immediately. After rectification, they can be listed for sale.
