Hebei University

It is the only key comprehensive university in Hebei Province, which is jointly established by the Hebei Provincial People's government and the Ministry of education.

The predecessor of the school was the Tianjin industrial and Commercial University, founded in 1921 by the French Jesus Association in Tianjin. After that, the number of school names has gone through the period of Tianjin industrial and Commercial College, Jinggu University, Tianjin normal college and Tianjin Normal University. In 1960, it was converted into a comprehensive University and named Hebei University. In 1970, Tianjin moved to a famous national historical and cultural city Hebei Baoding.

In 2005, Hebei staff medical college and its affiliated hospital merged into Hebei University.

The school has always persisted in focusing on talent cultivation, taking undergraduate education as the main body, taking high level scientific research as the support, and aiming at fostering high-quality talents with strong basic theory, strong stamina, strong adaptability, innovative spirit and practical ability, and constantly pushing forward the teaching construction, reform and development, and striving to improve the overall strength and level of running schools.
