On the 15th, the ECCO Love Walking Marathon was held in Warsaw, Poland. Warsaw has held such charity activities since 2005, and this year is the third time. About thousands of people took part in the walking marathon. Participants in the event help those in need by walking. For every kilometer of walking, the organizer of the event, ECCO Aibu, a Danish shoe brand, will pay 4 zloty (equivalent to nearly US $1.5) to the account of the foundation chosen by the participants. This year's ECCO Love Walk Marathon mainly raised money for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and two foundations to help children. ECCO loves to walk the marathon step by step. The idea comes from Carl Tusby, the founder of ECCO. It encourages people to take part in sports so that people can raise money with love through walking, which is healthy and meaningful. Since Copenhagen was first held in 1999, it has been held all over the world, such as Copenhagen in Denmark, Oslo in Norway, Stockholm in Sweden, Berlin in Germany, San Francisco in the United States, Tokyo in Japan and Shanghai in China. Since 1999, 200000 people around the world have participated in the Love Walk Marathon. All participants have traveled the equivalent of 45 circles around the earth. ECCO has raised 6.5 million PLN (equivalent to 2.4 million US dollars) for various foundations.
