The number of employees in the footwear industry is 45000, which is an important part of the manufacturing industry.
It is reported that Australia will have more than 60 shoemaking and clothing enterprises will receive a total of 2 million 700 thousand US dollars (2 million 500 thousand Australian dollars) from the government to improve their production and management processes.
The project is part of the Australian government's textile, clothing and footwear (TCF) small business development plan, which aims to provide eligible companies with 15000 to 50000 dollars in funding.
The 67 companies that are subsidized can increase their chances of surviving in fierce competition after the improvement is completed.
45000 workers are also more likely to keep their jobs.
