The product quality and food safety rectification work in Zhejiang has achieved remarkable results since August, and the batch of imported and exported unqualified goods seized by the port has increased significantly.

According to statistics, in August, the Zhejiang inspection and Quarantine Bureau detected 966 batches of unqualified import and export goods at the port of the whole province, the value of goods was 80 million 850 thousand dollars, and the number of unqualified batches increased by 147.06% over the same period last year, an increase of 59.14% over last month.

There were 736 batches of unqualified imports and exports, up 207.95% from the same period last year, an increase of 59.31% over last month.

Substandard products include shoes, clothing, general machinery, electric light and lamps, wood, wire and cable, electrical installations, furniture, motorcycles, small household appliances, locks, light industrial machinery, animal aquatic products, textile products, toys, etc.

There were 230 batches of failed imports, an increase of 51.32% over the same period last year, an increase of 58.62% over last month.

Unqualified commodities include animal skins, machine tools, cotton, complete sets of equipment, timber, information equipment, analytical instruments and medical devices.

These substandard goods mainly came from the United States (75 batch), South Africa (28 batches), Uruguay (25 batches), Japan (18 batches), Australia (14 batches), France (10 batches), (Taiwan (10 batches), Germany (10 batches).
