In the 2010-11 fiscal year, from the total foreign trade volume of India's coconut shell fiber and products, China accounted for 26% and the United States was 15.82%.

In terms of total foreign trade, China accounts for 15% and the United States accounts for 25.46%.

With the increasing export of coconut shell fibers from other countries in South Asia, the traditional export market of India coconut shell fiber has been affected by the United States and Europe.

The fiber Shipping Board said that the coconut shell fibers and yarns imported from India surged last year, and most of India's export fibers were sold to China. In the near future, China's production of fiber products will threaten India's local products.

In the 2010-11 fiscal year, the export of India coconut shell fiber and products reached a new high of 321 thousand tons, up 9% from the previous year, and the total amount of exports reached 8 billion 70 million rupees.
