The free trade agreement between the government of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Costa Rica will take effect from August 1, 2011.

The FTA is the first package of free trade agreements signed between China and Central American countries, and is a new milestone in the history of the development of bilateral relations.

According to the agreement, China and Costa Rica will stage zero tariffs on products of over 90% of their products. China's textile raw materials and products, light industry, machinery, electrical equipment, vegetables, fruits, automobiles, chemicals, raw fur and leather products, and Costa Rica Coffee, beef, pork, pineapple juice, frozen orange juice, jam, fish meal, mineral products, raw hide and other products will benefit from the tax reduction arrangement.

According to statistics, in recent years, our export to Costa Rica and the inspection and Quarantine issued by our bureau and the certificate of origin certificate are mainly made of curtain cloth, clothing, footwear, loudspeakers, bicycles and parts, fitness equipment, furniture, steel pipes, jacks, bedding, sanitary products, chemical products and metal products.

According to the list of tariff concessions issued by the two sides, the export of these products, from August 1st this year, the export enterprises of Xiaoshan can enjoy the elder brother's prescription with the preferential certificate of origin issued by the Xiaoshan inspection and Quarantine Bureau.
