Imports And Exports Of Textiles In Nantong Decreased In The First Half Of The Year
According to statistics from Nantong inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Jiangsu, in the first half of this year, Nantong imported 683 thousand and 200 meters of textiles, valued at $4 million 208 thousand and 500, down 14.42% from the previous year, and the amount increased by 21.12%.

Textiles are mainly used as raw and auxiliary materials for garments and shoes and hats. The imports include cotton dyed fabrics, cotton dyed fabrics, chemical fibers and blended fabrics, which account for 59.99%, 35.26% and 4.75% of the total imports respectively.
The goods mainly come from Japan, India, Mauritius, Thailand and Korea. The goods from Japan account for 60.35% of total imports, 15.86% for India, 10.26% for Mauritius, 5.87% for Thailand, and 4.89% for South Korea.
Imports of textiles from Japan are small in size, with an average unit price of $8.02 per metre, and the lowest average price of textiles imported from India is US $2.16 per metre, from other countries and regions.
