Recently, the provincial science and Technology Department approved the establishment of "Zhejiang leather industry science and technology innovation service platform", which is composed of two sub platforms of Haining "Zhejiang leather industry research center" and Wenzhou "Zhejiang leather and shoemaking Engineering Center".

The construction plan of "Zhejiang leather industry research center" is estimated to have a total investment of 155 million, of which 50 million yuan is integrated and 105 million yuan is needed for construction.

In October 18th, Jin Deshui, vice governor of Zhejiang Province, inspected the "leather industry research center of Zhejiang province" and gave full recognition to the innovation platform for the construction of leather industry in Haining. Jiang Taiwei, director of Zhejiang science and Technology Department, awarded the "Zhejiang leather industry research center".

The Center settled in Haining will effectively integrate the technological innovation resources of leather industry in Zhejiang Province, establish a resource sharing mechanism, reduce the cost of scientific and technological innovation, increase the capability of independent innovation, and promote the development of leather industry in Zhejiang Province, and play a major and positive role.
