Recently, Tianjin University of Technology sponsored the national science and technology support program "carbon fiber multi-layer angle online weaving equipment and technology".

This project will provide independent weaving equipment and technological support for developing and producing high-performance carbon fiber composites in China.

According to Professor Jiang Xiuming, vice president of Tianjin University of Technology, the independent research and development of carbon fiber multilayer weaving equipment and technology will break western developed countries' blockade on China's carbon fiber reinforced composites and technology, and serve to enhance the overall competitiveness of the country.

At the same time, it will help to realize the organic combination of multi discipline and industry university research, and make a beneficial exploration in the textile machinery industry for the development of new industries.

The implementation of this project can promote the development of upstream and downstream related industries.

It can not only promote the development of upstream steel and electronics industry, but also promote the development of downstream fiber industry and resin industry. It can also reduce the product cost of downstream related industries such as aerospace, wind turbine blades, aircraft manufacturing, shipbuilding, military industry, construction and other high-tech fields, and promote and improve the quality and market competitiveness of upstream and downstream related industries.
