The exhibition industry in our city started slowly in 1996, and it started late. However, after 2005, Ji'nan will take the exhibition industry as a pillar industry for the development of service economy and introduce a series of encouraging policies.

Since then, more than 10 large and large exhibition companies have opened offices in Ji'nan, and a number of domestic exhibitions have quietly opened the door to the city.

In 2005, 95 exhibitions were held in the city, with a total turnover of 20 billion yuan.

Especially in 2010, a series of brand exhibitions such as the national sugar and wine fair, Taiwan famous brand exhibition, Hongkong shopping exhibition, Truck Exhibition, medical Expo, electric vehicle exhibition, furniture exhibition and children's fair were successively held, attracting 100 thousand professional spectators and more than 1 million amateur spectators.

This year, Ji'nan held a total of 140 exhibitions, a record high, of which 14 were hosted or hosted by various international exhibitions, 6 billion yuan for on-site trading and intentional pactions, and the number of large-scale exhibitions held in Ji'nan has been ranked first in Shandong province for many years, and it has become a "black horse" in the National Convention and exhibition industry.

We have intensified our efforts to promote the local independent exhibitions. A large number of local independent brand exhibitions with large scale, high potential, strong market potential and strong industrial driving power have been growing rapidly. The exhibition area of 7 1000 international standard exhibition fairs, such as 2011 Qilu auto show fair, has reached 251 thousand square meters, more than 4900 exhibitors, 80% exhibitors in the field, and more than 1000 exhibitors in the twenty-fifth China (Shandong) international medical equipment exhibition, including 60% exhibitors abroad.

In the first half of the year, the city held 74 exhibitions, with an exhibition area of 97 square meters, an increase of 25% over the same period last year. The number of visitors was 3 million 710 thousand, an increase of 13.8% over the same period last year; the volume of pactions was 55 billion 900 million yuan, an increase of 19.9% over the same period last year; the related income was 7 billion 400 million yuan, an increase of 5.8% over the same period last year.
