According to the data released by Peru National Bureau of Statistics (INEI) on 1 th, in August, the consumer price index (CPI) of Peru capital Lima increased by 0.27%, much lower than the July inflation rate (0.79%), but higher than that of June (0.10%). In the 1-8 month of this year, Lima's CPI rose by 3.33%, rising 3.35% in 12 consecutive months (from September 2010 to August 2011).

In August, there were eight major categories. Goods And services, rent, fuel and electricity prices rose by 0.50%, other goods and services increased by 0.37%, food and beverage increased by 0.35%, recreational and recreational education increased by 0.27%, and the other four categories were below the average growth rate, of which 0.13% were health services. Clothing shoes 0.11%, traffic and communications 0.06%, furniture and supplies 0.01%.

According to the INEI statistical report, in August, the CPI of 10 cities in 25 cities, including Lima, Cuzco (0.21%), Arequipa (0.11%) and Trujillo (-0.09%), was less than 0.30%.

The data also showed that the monthly average of wholesale sales nationwide in August. index (IPM) increased by 0.44%, higher than that in July (0.32%) and June (0.31%). In the first 8 months of this year, the index increased by 4.85% and accumulated 6.76% in 12 consecutive months.
