The new protective clothing ISO standard will help farmers and agricultural operators reduce the risks associated with the use of liquid pesticides.

Pesticides are widely used in agricultural production to defend against pests, diseases and weeds.

If pesticide users do not wear appropriate protective clothing, the health risks of pesticide users will be caused by the toxicity and usage of pesticides.

The new ISO standard stipulates

The new standard ISO27065:2011, that is, the protective clothing required by protective clothing users of liquid pesticides, emphasizes the protection of farmers and agricultural practitioners in the stage of pesticide use (that is, the majority of users are contaminated by pesticides at work).

The standard specifies protective performance requirements for protective clothing materials, sutures and ready-made garments, and specifies three grades of protective clothing, which are classified according to the permeability of pesticides to protective clothing.

In the first level, the potential risks of pollution are relatively low.

The first grade protective clothing should consider the effects of low drift injection on pesticide users, such as tractors spraying pesticides.

Second, the potential risk of pollution is higher than that of the first grade, but not high enough to be used.

The third grade, the potential risk of pollution requires protective clothing made of waterproof materials.

This grade is applicable to provide protective clothing for the environment with high contact with pesticides, which requires protective clothing to prevent liquid penetration / penetration.
