The European Parliament Has Passed Resolutions To Strengthen EU Export Restrictions.

Parliament passed a legislative resolution to modify EU export rules in Strasbourg to strengthen the inspection restrictions on the export of so-called "dual-use products and technologies" to EU countries.
The European parliament says these "dual-use products and technologies" refer to products and technologies that are both civilian and military, including chemical products, communications equipment or software.
Previously, EU countries exported such products.

It does not require EU approval, and member states may decide for themselves to inspect their exports.
In addition, the resolution also prohibits the export of "dual-use products and technologies" to countries which are subject to sanctions by the Council of Europe, the organization for security and cooperation in Europe or the United Nations arms embargo.
The resolution calls for the European Commission to go to the European Parliament every year.
Submission
An annual report on exports of such products and technologies to strengthen the European Parliament's supervision of export approval procedures.
