India Pakistan Textile Exports

New Delhi: on Wednesday, India agreed to support a plan proposed by the European Union to promote tariff relief for textile exports in the flood affected areas of Pakistan.

India

She once opposed the EU initiative.

However, at present, two neighboring countries plan to double bilateral trade to 6 billion US dollars in the next three years.

However, India officials said Islamabad has agreed to fulfill all the reciprocal commitments of the South Asian Free Trade Area "Safta" in full sincerity.

This is seen as Pakistan's commitment to eventually grant India the most favored nation (MFN) status.

After meeting with Pakistan's commerce minister Maher Doom Mohamed Amin Fahim, commerce minister Anand Charles refused to commit any timetable, although there are signs that bilateral commerce ministers will take some action after meeting in November.

In a joint statement, the two sides agreed to November.

Relax

Business visa rules allow traders to get multiple entry permits for up to a year.

Sharma said that India is also striving to reduce restrictions on investment in Pakistan, and Islamabad may give a return.

Sharma said that in the next two months, second customs ports will be opened on the Wagah-Attari border, and the trade hours will be extended to 12 hours in summer.
