The Sichuan provincial clothing production skills final was held on 15-16 July at Chengdu St. Sichuan Yulan Clothing Co., Ltd. Xu Xiaoshi, member of the provincial Party committee and chief engineer, attended the award ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by Peng Jiaqi, vice president of the provincial clothing (apparel) Industry Association.

The competition is jointly sponsored by Sichuan clothing (apparel) Industry Association and Sichuan vocational skills appraisal guidance center, and the Sichuan apparel (apparel) industry association is responsible for this competition. The competition of garment making skills not only tests the skill level of vocational skills training in garment industry of our province, but also promotes the construction of skilled personnel in garment industry in the whole province. The competition has selected outstanding athletes of enterprises and teachers, including the golden scissors, the silver scissors award, the bronze scissors award and the excellent Sichuan plate making teacher. The top ten winners of the student athletes are awarded the "outstanding newcomers" award.
