Columbia Issued Draft Regulations On Labels For Footwear And Leather Products
In October 3, 2007, the Ministry of Commerce, industry and tourism of Columbia issued a draft technical regulations on labels for footwear and leather products.
The draft includes objectives and scope, exemption, definition and abbreviation, labeling requirements for goods, footwear label requirements, labels for leather products, conformity assessment procedures, information on certification, inspection bodies and laboratories, institutions for monitoring and inspection, punishment system, registration and notification of manufacturers and importers, validity and entry into force, pitional provisions, annexes and parts abolition.
