One of them is a cotton knitted sweater for baby girls exported to the United States. The total lead content of buttons is more than that of the consumer goods safety improvement act of the United States.

After investigation, the buttons used for the garments were unsaturated polyester resin, which did not contain lead. However, in order to make the buttons reach the effect of pearl luster, a small amount of pearlescent pulp was added to the buttons during production.

Another group of children's nylon jackets exported to the European Union was informed of the discovery of 69.9ppm four amino azobenzene in the grey sewing thread.

The production enterprises were put into production after testing the fabric, but did not make any request for the sewing thread used in the products. Finally, they were bankrupt due to compensation.

The above cases reflect the new trend of European and American countries concerned about the quality and safety of clothing products.

To this end, the inspection and quarantine department reminds export garment enterprises that they should increase the safety and quality management of raw and auxiliary materials, improve the quality control system, and strictly organize production export according to the requirements of the importing countries.
