The author was informed yesterday from the Municipal Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau that since October 24th, the European Union has cancelled the verification of special certificate of origin for all textile categories exported to the EU.

This means that Ningbo's annual export of US $more than 600 million textiles to the EU will enter the EU market in a more convenient way, thus promoting the export of our textile enterprises to Europe.

The Ministry of Commerce recently issued an urgent notice. According to the 955th class regulations promulgated by the European Union in 2011, since October 24, 2011, all import and export enterprises have no need to declare the export of textile business to the EU. Our certification authority will stop issuing the "textile export origin certificate", "EU export handicraft product license" and "exporting European silk and silk products certificate of origin" from now on.

The certificate of origin of textiles is the basis for controlling customs quotas.

Previously, the certificate of origin was required for exporting textiles to EU countries.

Starting from October 24th, the Ministry of Commerce licensing bureau and the provincial and municipal economic and Trade Commission issued the original certificate of origin of textiles exported to Europe.

At present, the Municipal Bureau of foreign trade and economic cooperation has sent SMS tips to the textile and garment export enterprises in the city through the public information service platform.

If the goods shipped by the individual enterprises before the above-mentioned date, the European Union customer must issue the certificate of origin provided by the Chinese side to complete the import customs clearance. Before the stop application of the Ministry of Commerce's quota permit Affairs Bureau is stopped, the Municipal Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau will immediately handle the related enterprises in our city.

According to the China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, the certificate of origin of textiles issued by the China Council for the promotion of trade and quality inspection system has not yet been cancelled.
