According to Vietnam leather footwear association Nguyen Thi Tong, thanks to the multilateral aid program of the EU and Vietnam trade, leather and footwear enterprises have significantly improved their competitiveness in the past two years.

As footwear and leather products are an important product of Vietnam's exports, this trade project is aimed at consolidating the competitiveness of leather and footwear enterprises, "Nguyen Thi Tong said in an important speech on Tuesday.

In the two years of operation, the project has trained business policy courses for senior management.

The project helped shoe companies redesign the new series, and recreate the name of the domestic and overseas markets for Vietnam's footwear exports, Nguyen Thi Tong said.

Tong added that the project has brought about sustained development for the industry in order to develop business and to cooperate with foreign businesses.
