The Statistics Bureau (FSO) published the survey report on the production and import price index of Switzerland in October 2011. Compared with last month, the price dropped slightly by 0.2% to 98.1 points (in December 2010 as the base = 100), and its index continued to decline since May (2011). Compared with the same period in 2010, the index dropped 1.8%.


The domestic production price index showed a slight decline (-0.1%), while the import price index fell by 0.5%; crude oil product prices rose for the first time since April (2011).


The industry categories of price drop are horticultural products and all kinds of meat products.

The industry categories of rising prices are: crude oil products (gasoline, diesel, heating oil, aircraft oil) and natural gas.
