The conference was held in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The theme of the conference is "based on today and looking forward to the future". There are more than 350 delegates from 27 countries and regions. Among them, representatives from Brazil accounted for 40%.

The world footwear industry conference is the official activity of the European footwear Federation. The conference was supported by the government of Brazil, the Ministry of trade and investment promotion of Brazil, the European Commission and the Rio city hall. It was hosted by Brazil COUROMODA exhibition and Italy MICAM exhibition.

Zhang Shuhua, honorary president of the China Leather Association and Su Chaoying, chairman of the China Leather Association, were invited to attend the meeting.

The conference is divided into 10 discussion groups, involving the global footwear industry.

In the global economy, about 40 guests came to share their views on footwear production, labor force, footwear market access, vertical integration, anti-dumping, tariff and non-tariff barriers, intellectual property rights, education and training, footwear retail and footwear consumption behavior and trends.

In the globalized market, the production technology of footwear has been continuously improving. The labor force, exchange rate and market of emerging countries have attracted worldwide attention. Footwear consumption is greatly affected by the economic fluctuations of the world economy, especially the developed countries, and the global footwear production and consumption are rising in a tortuous way.

The relationship with the world population, lifestyle and so on, to satisfy the individualization of consumption, the special requirements, the sustainability of production and consumption are all concerned by many countries. New materials, new technologies and new technologies have become one of the growth points of the footwear industry. Environmental protection and sustainable development are among the focuses of attention.

The establishment of a more free and fair market is the consensus of participants. How to further reduce trade barriers and oppose unfair competition, we need to further enhance import and export tariffs, anti-dumping, non-tariff barriers, intellectual property rights and social responsibilities.

At the same time, some countries pointed out that intervention is necessary for unfair competition and will continue to protect domestic industries effectively.

China is not only a large production country, but also a big consumer country. The growth of China has become an opportunity for the world. The world has begun to think more about how to seize the opportunities brought by China's economic growth and domestic sales expansion.

Zhang Shuhua, honorary chairman, was invited to deliver a speech on labour force and market trends.

Regarding labor, Zhang pointed out that in recent years, the staff structure of China's shoe making enterprises has been further optimized, and the production environment and living environment have been further improved. The introduction of digital equipment has increased the efficiency of production, and the industry has begun to pfer orderly from east to west, from South to north, and in the market.
