According to statistics from Venezuela's National Bureau of statistics and central bank, consumer prices were set in October 2011.

Index increase

For 1.8%, the growth rate was 0.2%, an increase of 0.3 percentage points over the same period last year.


Major categories in October

The price increases were: 2.5% of food and non-alcoholic beverages, 0.9% of alcohol and tobacco, 1.6% of clothing and footwear, 0.8% of housing rental, 0.2% of housing services, 1.7% of household equipment, 1.5% of medical services, 1.2% of traffic, 0.5% of communication, 0.7% of cultural entertainment, 3% of educational services, of hotels and hotels, and of other goods and services.


From January 2011 to October, the total price rose by 22.7%.
