Patrick Thomas, chief executive of the brand, said when introducing its new limited edition India Sari series.

This series is Herms's tailor-made for India market.

It is estimated that the market value of India's luxury goods market can reach US $2 billion 200 million, and it will increase at an annual rate of 20%.

Together with China, it will become the most potential emerging market.

Nowadays, most women in India are still accustomed to wearing sari, and in traditional celebrations, such as weddings, they will wear sari.

Because of this, when other brands try to knock the doors of India market with jewellery, handbags and shoes, Herms decides to do as the Romans do and join hands with India's traditional dress to show the India market.

However, Herms is open-minded about whether Sari series is stationed in India market.

A brand spokesman said they were "not sure whether the series will be sold in India for a long time, which will depend on the reaction of India people."

At present, Herms limited edition Sari is only available at Herms stores in Mumbai.
