Macro economy

The forum was held in Beijing in November 25th. The theme of this forum is "the international experience of East Asian emerging economies in dealing with inflation".

About 60 experts, academics and government officials from China, Japan, Korea, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and the International Monetary Fund attended the forum. Zhu Zhixin, deputy director of the national development and Reform Commission, sent a congratulatory message to the State Council.

Emerging economy

The current inflation situation and the trend of change, the formation mechanism and causes of inflation, and the policy effect of dealing with inflation are discussed in depth.

Experts and scholars attending the meeting believe that since last year, facing the increasingly severe inflation situation, East Asian countries have adopted positive policies and measures to deal with the problem. Inflation in East Asia has eased, but the international economic environment in 2012 will become more complex and severe. Inflation is still uncertain.

In the current international economic situation, strengthening cooperation and coordination in the field of macroeconomic policy is of great significance for stabilizing regional economic growth and lowering the level of inflation.
