Recently, the competitiveness of textile and garment factories has been severely tested due to unfavorable factors such as rising labor wages, poor quality of main and secondary materials, poor product design and poor performance in marketing.

Le Quoc An, Vietnam's textile and Garment Association, said that wages of Vietnamese textile workers have risen to $200 / month in recent years, and that they will rise to 500 dollars / month in the next 3 years, which seriously affects the operation and production of operators.

According to Mr.Andrew Hong, Secretary General of the ASEAN Textile Association (Aftex), the cutting and sewing section accounts for only 6% of the garment production process, and the other 94% departments are the administrative work of cloth production, design, marketing, sample production and processing orders.
